dog walks, daycare and boarding
Hi, my name is Jane. I started Ponteland Pampered Pooch 12 years ago, offering home boarding, daycare and walks. This service has been in great demand, as more dog owners choose a 'home from home' for their dogs rather than a kennel.
In May 2023, my daughter Becky joined PPP and took over all dog boarding and daycare at her home in Callerton. Now I concentrate on dog walking only.

Hi, my name is Becky. Originally trained as a nurse, I decided last year to leave nursing and join forces with my mum, Jane. And what a good decision that was!
I grew up with our gorgeous spaniels Jack and Ross and loved helping in the business on my days off from the hospital.
I now live in Callerton with my Basset Hound Gus and offer dog walks, daycare and boarding in my home.

What we offer
Walks, Daycare and Stays
On a typical day at Pampered Pooch, we take the dogs to our field. This is just 5 minutes outside of Ponteland. The field is a secure and safe place for the dogs to socialise and play. We have lots of toys, an agility course and paddling pools. We have a play together, then a walk in the surrounding countryside. The dogs love playing in the grass and having a dip in the stream. We give mid morning snacks of biscuits, carrot and apple, then a wash and dry before heading home for lunch.
Dogs for a walk only will be dropped at your home. Dogs for the day or staying will return home with us for lunch. In the afternoon we go back to the field for more fun!
At the end of the day, your dog will be returned to you happy and tired. Dogs staying will have dinner and settle down on the sofa for lots of cuddles. Bedtime, they will have a treat and be tucked into bed.
We do like to spoil and pamper your dogs, as if they were our own. We want your dogs to have a great holiday, and we will send you lots of photos to put you at ease, so you can relax knowing your dog is in very safe hands.
What we ask of you
We ask that all dogs are neutered and up to date with their vaccinations. If you can please bring their record with you on your first visit. We don't do individual dog care, the dogs will be in a group of up to six during the day so we ask that your dog is happy to mix and be friendly with other dogs.
Of course we expect there to be a settling in period and we will do everything we can to make your dog feel happy and at ease at all times.
All new customers will be invited for a visit so that we can meet you and your dog and see how they settle in.
